The James Barney Foundation are pleased to report that we have recently continued our support and granted a £15,000 donation to The Shepherd's Fold Children's Home in Baja, Mexico. The Children's Home is a wonderful cause we have supported in the past and we are so pleased to be able to say that once again your support, kindness and generosity will be thankfully welcomed by all the volunteers and the children that call the Shepherd's Fold Orphanage "home".

Sunday 7th October 2012, was the 21st birthday of James Anthony Barney. What a beautiful bright sunny day for the run i was so excited, my first ever pro 10km!. Everyone was in great spirit and the atmosphere was electric. There was thousands of people there to run the race and a great crowd of supporters including Dannielle, Roxi and Joseph wishing everyone luck and cheering people on.

One of the most challenging events to date for supporters of the foundation is a climb up Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa. This really pushed the boundaries of what we can achieve. Working in conjunction with Action Challenge, 5 supporters of the James Barney Foundation are aiming to complete this epic journey in just 5 days.

The first fund raising event held by the James Barney foundation was hosted on the 7th of March, 2011 at the offices of Wilson & Co. Accountancy in Leeds. A group of experienced fund raisers and philanthropists were invited to discuss the promising future of the charity and to come up with ideas to help benefit the lives of others.
